VanMoof S3/X3 Bell / Boost Button – PAS6B2
High-quality replacement Bell or Boost button for the VanMoof S3 and X3.
This replacement uses a PAS6B2 industrial momentary push button, rather than an unspecified generic switch. It is available either as the button alone or pre-wired with a genuine HIGO cable for a complete replacement.
The same button can be used for either the Bell or Boost function.
Two versions
Button only – €9
For repairs where the original VanMoof button cable is still in good condition. The existing wires are soldered onto the new PAS6B2 button.
Requires soldering and correct insulation/sealing after installation.
Button with genuine HIGO cable – €20
Complete pre-wired replacement consisting of the PAS6B2 button and genuine HIGO cable.
Recommended when the existing button cable, connections or wiring also need replacement.
PAS6B2 quality switch
The PAS6B2 is a defined industrial momentary push-button switch rather than an unidentified generic replacement.
Features include:
- Momentary operation
- SPST switch configuration
- IP67-rated switch construction
- Solder terminals
- Sealed construction
- Designed for repeated push-button operation
Genuine HIGO cable
The wired version uses a genuine HIGO cable, not a generic compatible cable.
HIGO connectors and cables are widely used in e-bike electrical systems and provide a compact, weather-resistant connection suitable for handlebar wiring.
Bell or Boost
The same switch can be used to replace either:
- Bell button
- Boost button
There is no separate Bell or Boost version to select.
Compatibility
Compatible with:
- VanMoof S3
- VanMoof X3

After installation, all electrical connections should be correctly insulated and protected against moisture.

FAQ
Can this button be used for both Bell and Boost?
Yes. The same replacement button can be used for either the Bell or Boost function on the VanMoof S3/X3.
Which version should I order?
Choose without cable if the original wiring is intact and you only need to replace the switch. Choose with cable if the existing cable or its connections also need replacement.
Does the button-only version require soldering?
Yes. The existing two wires must be removed from the old button and soldered to the new button. VanMoof’s replacement procedure also describes desoldering the original button during this repair.
Will replacing the button fix Error 40 or Error 41?
Not automatically. Error 40 relates to the Bell-button input and Error 41 to the Boost-button input, but the problem can involve the switch, cable, connection or wiring. Diagnosis should be performed before replacing parts.
Is the button waterproof?
Do not claim waterproof or an IP rating unless your supplier has documented one. Correct sealing during installation is important because moisture around the S3/X3 buttons and connections is a documented failure issue.
