The YF08E is the level shifter IC used on the VanMoof S3 and X3 smart cartridge PCB.
A failed YF08E chip can cause communication problems inside the cartridge and may result in Error 44, even when the e-shifter itself is fully functional.
Replacing this IC restores normal signal levels between the processor and the communication circuitry when the original chip has failed.
This product is intended for board-level electronic repair.
Symptoms
This chip may be defective if:
- Error 44 is present.
- The e-shifter has already been tested and confirmed to be working.
- Wiring harness and connectors have been ruled out.
