These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website, webshop, repair services, parts sales and other services offered by Vanmoofista.

Vanmoofista is an independent repair and parts business specialised in VanMoof bicycles. Vanmoofista is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to VanMoof.

2. Independent workshop

Vanmoofista is an independent workshop. It is not an official VanMoof service partner and does not act on behalf of VanMoof.

References to VanMoof models, parts, errors, cartridges, batteries, e-shifters or other components are used only to identify compatible bicycles, parts, repairs or technical information.

3. Services

Vanmoofista offers repair-first diagnostics, repairs, reused parts, refurbished parts, selected new parts, practical upgrades and technical support for VanMoof bicycles where possible.

Not every defect can be repaired. Some repairs depend on parts availability, technical condition, previous repair attempts, water damage, battery condition, electronic faults, frame condition or software/firmware limitations.

4. Appointments and workshop access

Workshop visits are by appointment only. Customers must contact Vanmoofista before bringing a bike or part to the workshop.

Vanmoofista may refuse unscheduled visits, unsafe bikes, incomplete bikes, heavily modified bikes, contaminated parts, or repairs that are technically or economically unreasonable.

5. Diagnostics

Diagnostics are used to identify the likely cause of a problem and decide whether a repair is possible.

A diagnostic result is based on the condition of the bike or part at the time of inspection. Hidden defects, intermittent faults, water damage, battery degradation, damaged wiring or previous repair attempts may affect the final repair result.

If a bike or part is not repairable, a diagnostic fee may still apply where communicated in advance.

6. Quotes and prices

Prices shown on the website are indicative unless clearly stated otherwise. Final pricing may depend on the model, condition, parts availability, labour time, previous damage, shipping costs and VAT treatment.

Quotes are valid only for the repair or parts listed in the quote. Additional defects found during repair may require a revised quote.

7. Payment

Payment is due before release of repaired bikes, parts or webshop orders unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Online payments may be processed through Mollie or another payment provider. In-person payments may be accepted by the methods available at the time of service.

8. Webshop orders

When a customer places an order through the webshop, the order is accepted only after payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.

Vanmoofista may cancel or refund an order if a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced, damaged, unsuitable for sale, or listed with an obvious error.

9. Used, refurbished and repaired parts

Some parts sold by Vanmoofista may be used, refurbished, repaired, recovered from donor bikes or tested second-hand parts.

The product description will indicate where a part is used, refurbished or repaired where relevant. Cosmetic marks, signs of use or minor wear may be present on used or refurbished parts.

10. Compatibility

Customers are responsible for checking compatibility before ordering parts, unless Vanmoofista has confirmed compatibility in writing for the customer’s specific bike or part.

Compatibility may depend on model, year, region, firmware, wiring, connector type, previous modifications and component version.

11. Repairs and modifications

Repair work may involve opening, testing, soldering, replacing, cleaning, drying, resealing, reusing, adapting or modifying parts.

Some repairs are experimental or practical solutions for known weaknesses in older VanMoof bikes. Where a repair is experimental or non-standard, this will be communicated where relevant.

Vanmoofista is not responsible for defects caused by previous damage, hidden corrosion, water ingress, poor previous repairs, incorrect use, later modifications, crashes, transport damage or unrelated component failure.

12. Customer-supplied parts

If a customer supplies their own parts, Vanmoofista may refuse to install them if they are unsafe, incompatible, poor quality, damaged or unsuitable.

Vanmoofista is not responsible for the quality, origin, compatibility or durability of customer-supplied parts.

13. Warranty

Warranty terms depend on the type of repair, product or part supplied.

Warranty does not cover misuse, water damage, crash damage, incorrect charging, incorrect storage, tampering, later modification, normal wear, unrelated faults, software/backend limitations, consumables or defects caused by parts not supplied by Vanmoofista.

Consumers have a legal right of withdrawal for eligible online purchases.

You may exercise your right of withdrawal by using our online withdrawal form:

Withdraw from contract

After submitting the form, you will receive an automatic email confirmation that we have received your withdrawal request. This confirmation does not automatically approve a refund. The request will be handled according to our withdrawal policy.

If the order has already been shipped, it may no longer be possible to stop the parcel. You may still withdraw within the legal withdrawal period.

Return shipping costs are paid by the customer, unless the product is defective or Vanmoofista sent the wrong item.

After withdrawal, the product must be returned in its original condition, with all included parts and packaging where reasonably possible. The customer may inspect the product as they would in a physical shop, but is responsible for any loss of value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product.

Refunds are processed after we have received the returned product or after the customer has provided proof of return shipment, according to the applicable legal rules.

15. Shipping

Orders are shipped using the courier selected for the parcel. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated.

Customers must provide correct shipping information. Vanmoofista is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect customer information, courier delays, customs issues or force majeure.

16. Risk during transport

For webshop orders, transport risk is handled according to applicable consumer and commercial law.

If a customer ships a bike, battery, cartridge or part to Vanmoofista, the customer is responsible for safe packaging and correct shipping unless otherwise agreed in writing.

17. Batteries and electronic parts

E-bike batteries and electronic parts can be sensitive, degraded, damaged by water, affected by previous repairs or unsafe if mishandled.

Vanmoofista may refuse to work on batteries or electronics that are unsafe, swollen, heavily corroded, physically damaged, previously modified in an unsafe way, or not suitable for repair.

18. Website information

Technical information on this website is provided for general information. It may not apply to every bike, firmware version, region, part version or previous repair history.

Vanmoofista tries to keep information accurate, but errors or outdated information may occur.

19. Intellectual property

Website text, layout, photos, graphics, logos and original content belong to Vanmoofista or their respective owners unless stated otherwise.

VanMoof names, model names and references belong to their respective rights holders. They are used only for identification, compatibility and repair information.

20. Liability

Vanmoofista is not liable for indirect loss, loss of use, loss of data, loss of income, loss caused by unavailable parts, backend/server limitations, third-party services, courier delays or defects unrelated to the repair or product supplied by Vanmoofista.

Nothing in these terms limits legal rights that cannot be excluded under Belgian or EU law.

21. Force majeure

Vanmoofista is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including courier disruption, supplier shortages, illness, technical failures, power outages, fire, flood, legal restrictions, platform outages or force majeure events.

22. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Where legally permitted, disputes are handled by the competent courts in Belgium.

23. Changes to these terms

Vanmoofista may update these terms when the website, webshop, services, repair process, legal obligations or business operations change. The latest version is always published on this page.
